How to change brake pad?

Brakes are the most important parts of any motorbike. Thats why Brake Pads are one of the component in your motorcycle that have to be checked every time. This is because they easily give into pressure and temptation causes problems due to the heat they generate through friction. when this happens, you would have to immediately change them with new pads as driving with damaged brake pad is like waiting for unexpected accident.

But dont worry, to replacement brake pad is not difficult task because it need not be done by professional mechanics an you can do this very easily. This will offcourse save you from labor costs.

Following steps will guide you to easy replacement of old brake pad.

-Place the motorcycle on main stands for the front tires.

-A lug nut is a special nut used to secure a wheel on a mootrcycle. Remove the lug nut carefully and pull out tire off the motorcycle.kindly keep them at a safe place so that you won’t lose them. Keep the wheel out of the place.

-Now remove the nutbolts that holds Brake Caliper. Get them away and you can see the brake pad being kept there with the help of bolt.

-Unscrew that bolt and keep them away, then checkout the brake rotor.If the brake pad still smooth and shiny then no need to replace them.

-If you will see there any kind of groove in brake pad then replace them with a new one.

-Apply some grease on the brake pad and place it onto the brake caliper using bolt.

-At the end, reassemble your motorcycle in opposite order that you did before. now tighten all the lug nuts.

Here, you have successfully changed your motorcycle’s brake pad.

Minor installments and replacement in motorcycle do not need to be done by professional mechanic. In this way, you would not just save some dollars but also it let you to communicate with your motorcycle, and it gives you a chance to have knowledge about your motorcycle in a best way.
